Caller ID
Cloud Kinnekt provides you various options for values to use for Caller ID, Caller Name and PAI on your outbound calls and forwarded calls
A Trunk Profile instance can be configured with default options for these fields.
The chosen default options are inherited by all users under the Trunk unless overridden at the Trunk user level configurations.
User settings will OVERIDE Trunk settings!
Under the Trunk Profile Settings, we have the below settings that will allow you to alter/manipulate the Caller ID being sent from Users on the Enterprise Teams PBX.
Caller Name Policy: The caller’s display name for a SIP call on a normal outbound call.
Caller ID Policy: The caller’s phone number on a normal outbound call.
P-Asserted-Identity(PAI): The P-Asserted-Identity to be used on a normal outbound call. It is the identity verified by the Cloud Kinnekt network.
Caller Name on Forwarded Calls: The caller’s display name for a SIP call on a forwarded call.
Caller ID on Forwarded Calls: The caller’s phone number on a forwarded call.
PAI on Forwarded Calls: The P-Asserted-Identity to be used on a forwarded call. It is the identity verified by the ConnecttoTeams network.
Escape Request URI ? : Certain characters have special meanings in URIs and SIP headers. For example:
: separates the scheme from the rest of the URI.
@ separates the user info from the host.
If these characters are part of the actual data, they need to be escaped to avoid being misinterpreted as delimiters or control characters.
Enabling this option will accomplish this.
Convert History Info to Diversion? : Microsoft Teams utilizes the SIP History-Info header to convey information related to the sequence of a call.
This is useful in call transfer and forwarding scenarios.
