Touchless Provisioning

Zero Touch Provisioning

All Version 6 CloudPBX's now have direct access to the Cloud Kinnekt Yealink RPS (Redirect Provisioning Server)

What are the benefits of the Yealink RPS and the Touchless Provisioning feature?

  • When creating an extension that will use a Yealink device, the CloudPBX will automatically add the MAC Address you enter into the CK Yealink RPS, this will then allow you to simply plug the device in and it will automatically be redirected to the specific CloudPBX and begin it's Auto-Provisioning.

  • This new version uses HTTPS for maximum data security when connecting to the CloudPBX via the Public Internet.

  • If/when you require to default a device at a customers location, you can simply re-register the device into the CK Yealink RPS so when the phone is defaulted, it will automatically reprovision.

  • You will not require Option 66 in your DHCP servers now as this feature will be disabled in the CloudPBX as of the 1st of July 2022.

Creating Extension and Assigning Device

When creating an extension, you will select the User Agent Device (UAD) and then add the MAC Address of the Yealink phone you are adding to the extension.
This will then automatcially add the Device and MAC Address to the Cloud Kinnekt RPS.

Provisioning the Device

Once the device MAC Address is successfully registered on the Yealink RPS, you can simply plug the device into the LAN.
Assuming the LAN has access to the RPS and the CloudPBX, the device will then start its provisioning process.

Note: T5 Series devices have a red indicator light on the top right of the display that will flash when the provisioning process starts.

Once the phone gets its new configuration, it will restart and then the device will be connected to the CloudPBX.

Re-provisioning a Device

If a Yealink device is behaving incorrectly or there is an issue with it, defaulting the device to factory and re-provisioning it can fix issues.

To do this, you can go to Settings > Touchless Provisioning > Devices then select the device you want to re-register to the Yealink RPS.

Simply click on the specific device, then click REGISTER.
Click on Settings > Touchless Provisioning > Devices again and you
will see (below) that device is REGISTERED with the Yealink RPS.

Press the OK button on the Yealink device for 10 seconds until you see the Reset to Factory warning, select ok and the phone will reset and start the provisioning process all over again.
