DIDs

A DID (Direct Inward Dialling) is a phone number that can be called from an external service in order to reach an internal service. Typically these are what are known as geo numbers such as 02 6171 8191 but can also be 1300/1800 numbers as well as mobile numbers. Note DIDs are listed in E.164 format.

DID settings

Group: Select the group that the desired DID is in.

Trunk: Select CloudKinnekt-T1 from the list.

Status: This must be set to Active for DID to be able to accept calls. Setting to Not Assigned will stop calls routing and callers will get a busy response.

Name: Enter a name for the DID. This is for your reference only and displayed in the DID list

DID/Channel (start): Select the first DID as required, or the only DID if a single DID. Only DIDs that are not configured will be displayed.

Range: Set to Yes if configuring a DID range, set to No for a single DID

DID/Channel (end): If Range is set to Yes select last DID in range

Operation Times: See Operation Times for more information

CLI Validation & Routing: Configure filtering of calls based on incoming CLI

SMS Enabled: Leave set to No (not used)

Prioritize CLI Routing: If enabled, this option will override the configured Operation Times rules on the DID and use the configured CLI Validation & Routing rules instead.

Main Number: If enabled the number will be high lighted in the DID list

Destination: Select DID destination type, eg Ring Group

Value: Select particular destination eg 1500 - Day. Note: The destination needs to exist first before it can be selected.

Service Plan: Leave set to Please Select (not used)

Call Rating Extension: Leave set to Please Select (not used)

Greeting: Select greeting to be played to each call. Greeting must start with 'greeting-did-'

Strip N digits: Leave blank (not used)

Replace Caller ID: Set Caller ID to be displayed to answering destination. Useful to identify which number/department the call is for

Queue Priority: Leave blank (not used)

Force Codec: Leave set to Please Select (not used)

Custom Ringtone: Set an alternate ringtone to be played to when ringing on extension eg Ring1

Notify on Not Answer: If set to ‘Yes’, any calls that are not answered on this DID, will be logged for the next notification e-mail.

Auto Fax Detection: Enable faxes to DID to be detected and diverted to Fax Destination

Fax Destination: Enter destination extension for faxes to be sent to

E.164 number (end): Leave blank (not used)

Country: Leave blank (not used)

County: Leave blank (not used)

City: Leave blank (not used)

Area Code: Leave blank (not used)
